The project focuses on providing guidance and technical support for implementing the corresponding adjustments under Article 6 of the Paris Agreement, with the aim of ensuring accurate and transparent reporting in the Biennial Transparency Report (BTR). It seeks to strengthen national capacities to monitor climate action and align interpretations with the requirements of the Paris Agreement by developing protocols for adjusting greenhouse gas (GHG) inventories, methodologies for applying the corresponding emissions adjustments, and criteria and processes for authorizing and operationalizing Internationally Transferred Mitigation Results (ITMOs). Ultimately, the project supports robust, consistent, and transparent reporting to the UNFCCC.
